There are many softwares in the market that are used for
checking plagiarism like Duplichecker, Copyleaks, Paperrater, Plagarisma,
Plagarism checker, Plagium, Plagscan, Plag tracker, quettext, Viper etc. but
these have their own limitations.
VTU uses a software called as Turnitin, where all
the submissions will be checked for plagiarism content. Click here to know more about

The software will check weather the project is genuine
or not , it also checks for the keywords and also tells the students work and
also intimates the original author who wrote that document originally, This
software is common in international universities , now vtu will be one of them
in the country for having that software.
