VTU has introduced new plagiarism checking software
which checks student’s thesis with thousands of internet resources and old
project reports that are submitted by other students, VTU allows 25% of copied
material in the project documents.
Before VTU had plagiarism checking for only MTECH and
Phd courses, Now it has extended to MTECH, MBA, MArch and MCA Courses too.

ReplyDeleteHow to intimate vtu that the plagiarism report should not include our own work which are already available in the internet?
ReplyDeleteAftet all, my work which is available in internet already in my name, if copied in my own thesis, how is that considered a plagiarism?
Yeah its a sad news to hear. I have published 10papers and yet to submit my thesis, i am getting 30% similarly index, in that 20% is my own papers. But vtu has strictly suggested including self written paper, it must be within 20%
